Phil Lesh & Friends hit the road in November

From LiveDaily:

Phil Lesh (
tickets music) & Friends will jam through clubs and theaters in the Midwest and on the East Coast in November and December.

The run is slated to kick off in late November, and dates are scheduled through mid-December. The itinerary, which appears below, includes a three-night stand at the House of Blues in Atlantic City and two-night stays at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, the Chicago Theatre and the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.
For this trek, dubbed the Shadow of the Moon Tour, Lesh's ever-revolving cast of musical "Friends" will consist of keyboardist Mookie Siegel, pedal-steel wiz Barry Sless, guitarist Jimmy Herring, drummer John Molo and vocalist Chris Robinson (of the recently rejuvenated Black Crowes).

Lesh will also perform with Sless and Herring--as well as with drummer Jeff Sipe, keyboardist Rob Barraco and vocalist Ryan Adams--on Oct. 29 and 30 during the inaugural
Vegoose festival in Las Vegas. That same lineup drew strong reviews from fans back in July during shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater and the Fillmore in Denver.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the formation of Lesh's best-known band, the Grateful Dead. Fans have been speculating about how the group--which, in the wake of the 1995 death of frontman Jerry Garcia, was eventually
re-dubbed The Dead--would celebrate the occasion. With the announcement of this string of Phil Lesh and Friends dates, it now appears less likely that the Dead--which also features guitarist-vocalist Bob Weir and drummers Billy Kreutzman and Mickey Hart--will regroup to perform in 2005.
