Former Dead members to perform here

From Midland Daily News:

Former Dead members to perform here

The Psychedelic Keyboard Duo, featuring Grateful Dead alumni Tom Constanten and Bob Bralove, will be artists-in-residence at Northwood University next week. A free concert, open to the public, is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Griswold Lecture Hall, 4000 Whiting Drive, Midland. The performance is suitable for all ages.

During the first half of the concert, the duo will perform new and vintage material. Continuing the tradition of the Grateful Dead music and light shows, the group will showcase video projection technology developed by Bralove, something he calls "digital fingerpainting." This technology allows images to be triggered by keyboard players while each note of the music is being played.

For the second half of the show, students from the Northwood University Pep Band will perform with Bralove and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Constanten. In their three-day residency at Northwood, Bralove and Constanten will present a series of lecture/demonstration workshops for students in subjects such as music appreciation, creative technology and music and business, and they will work with and perform with Northwood University students.
