This will mark only the 2nd appearance of the Rhythm Devils in over thirty years. Other Grateful Dead alumni appearing include Bob Weir and Donna Jean Godchaux-McKay.

GATHERING OF THE VIBES will once again feature a diverse lineup of national performing artists that cater to an assorted audience with a wide range of musical tastes. The 11th annual camping, arts and music festival returns to Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY—just outside of Albany—for the fifth consecutive year this August 18th, 19th and 20th.

Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir is confirmed to headline the event with his band Ratdog. Other highlights include the reunited Zero with guitar wizard Steve Kimock - performing for the first time on the east coast in over a decade, Hip Hop Blues innovators G. Love & Special Sauce, reggae legend Burning Spear, modern bluegrass pioneers Yonder Mountain String Band, former Jefferson Airplane members Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady as Hot Tuna, one-man supergroup Keller Williams and blues power trio North Mississippi Allstars.

Vibes veterans Assembly of Dust, Deep Banana Blackout, Strangefolk, and The Zen Tricksters will also perform, while Wavy Gravy will once again serve as Master of Ceremonies. Other artists confirmed for the event include: New Riders of the Purple Sage, Martin Sexton, Tea Leaf Green, Ryan Montbleau, The Everyone Orchestra and Scarecrow Collection, among many others.

Continuous music on two stages begins on Friday, August 18th at noon, although festival-goers may choose to arrive on Thursday, August 17th to prepare for the weekend (additional $20 per car for Thursday arrival). GATHERING OF THE VIBES is an all-ages, camp-next-to-your-car event, with on-site vendors providing food, beverages, and a multitude of arts and crafts. A Kid’s Corner provides entertainment options for the youngest of attendees.

GATHERING OF THE VIBES began in 1996 as a celebration of the life of Jerry Garcia, who died the previous August. Initially named Deadhead Heaven, the festival provided a forum for East Coast fans to remember the counterculture icon.
