The Dead on DJ's List

Philly radio DJ Pierre Robert listed the top 25 rock 'n' roll moments of his career and the Dead made numbers 16 & 17:

16. Finally landing his first interview with Jerry Garcia in the
1990s.
"I told him [Garcia] that I once saw him driving across the Golden
Gate Bridge and he laughed, then he told me, 'Nobody gave a s--- about me in the
Bay Area. My celebrity card is all punched out there.' "

17. Introducing the Grateful Dead, March 19, 1995, at the
Spectrum.
In a tie-dyed coat, Robert took the stage, lowered a huge Grateful
Dead banner and screamed, "God bless the Grateful Dead!"
