Word is there was no professional video recording allowed, with the exception of Tony Bennet's song.
Fox News has a brief clip of Tony Bennet in their profile segment on Nancy Pelosi (to watch, click this link, then click on "Who Is Nancy Pelosi" on the right). They report that cameras were banned for the Grateful Dead (Your House Band) performance, which Fox News reporter Brian Wilson says "is sort of a shame."
Oddly, the Washington Post is hosting a brief video phone clip (of the worst quality) of Wyclef Jean on the big screen taken by reporter J. Freedom du Lac.

peace love and dead
Has the recording appeared anywhere yet???
i have a sbd of this. can't give it out until 2009.
Ya know, it's a shame that the 'heads think that this is some amazingly cool thing. Once again, shows how unfortunately vapid the realm of the dead has become since Garcia blew town. Trust me when I tell you all, Garcia would NEVER have supported EITHER political party if he were still alive. In his own words, "OH..I suppose government has a role...keeping the stop lights working...things like that..."
As a dead head emeritus (began seeing them in 1974 ish...last shows Vegas ''95ish) I know how tempting it is to think that it's cool when you find out that Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, Nancy Pelosi and other establishment types are closet 'heads, but time has proven that they have only made a cute litte puppydog out of their "house band"; their sellout wiped them them from the roster before they even got on. But gaining perspective only suggests that it totally waters down the real meaning of the Grateful Dead, which is some indescribable blend of Americana, Pathos, Hope and Freedom. Those who understand this can only consider both political parties in our country as complete farces. You can join'em, but please don't encourage the remaining members of the band from turning their giant talents toward politics (of either side).
So, as y'all clammer to download the show, and laugh and dance in celebration of the democrats, just be sure that you're not dancing on your own graves.
BTW, check out the interview of Ann Coulter (i'm sure you all hate her) in Jambands.com. If that doesn't turn on the light like a nice hit of acid...welll..nothing will.
P.S.: Hunter was nowhere to be found....;-)
(response to "anon. said") Well, buddy, I am an alumnus too, 1st show in 73,portchester, dylan stadium,etc.-----I think Jerry would be stage center, happy to help out a brave lady like nancy....And I am not a dem.- I am a leftist!! I still "like" pelosi, and right now its the only hope for turning around Nixon- oops, I mean bush's plan in Iraq. O.K. Mr. anon-- big question-- you want another 4 years of war and fascism? Walk me out in the dew, my honey!!!
Pelosi Sucks!!!
Unknown Friday Yeah. You wish. Why don't you boil your head you'll feel better.
Did you ever post this?
:) Where's the link?
Jerry would of never ever endorsed a political party, let alone attend the Rick & Roll induction ceremony. Garcia later...
As good true long time heads we know the good from the bad and us leftists would aggree politics is full of trickery and chaos but not the total bogus mucus that is the right wing Republican's that are currently holding this Nation hostage over some narcissistic Trump agenda so good on anyone that will help take down the far right and I know that Jerry would definitely agree that Nancy Pelosi should keep on keeping on taking down the Trumpsters agenda's one wall at a time.
And you silly little rabbit think this trumpster piece of shit has it right huh? What a joke.
STFU commie
Jerry specified that the Dead were never gonna play political benefits for any party, and swore to not allow the band to be used that way.
Notice - Phil Lesh is not part of Dead and Company.... Phil Lesh and Jerry Gracia kicked Abbie Hoffman in the ass and off stage when he tried to make political comments at the Kent State show.
Now that Jerry and Phil are out of the way, they have steered Dead & Company left... far, far left. What a shame.
Adrenachrome is their new acid hit
